I wasn't one of the 111 and I'm proud of it!

The One Eleven event started, there has been lots of talk about it and here's my humble opinion in both Italian and English languages.

Praticamente, solo 111 fortunati avrebbero potuto possedere ( e vantarsene! ) quell'articolo. Volevo esserci, attirata da nomi come Surf Co., Tres Blah, !lamb, fri.day, Clawtooth, ohmai, SLink, ecc.

I was really curious about The One Eleven event that has been everywhere on the feeds lately and officially started yesterday.
It' s about 45 famous brands offering limited edition items, each item having a maximum of 111 copies for sale. Once they have sold out, they will not be restocked. So only 111 lucky people could own that item and brag about it! I wanted to be there, attracted by names like Surf Co., Tres Blah, lamb, fri.day, Clawtooth, ohmai, SLink, etc. In the last days designers tempted us with pictures of their exclusive items, and i so wanted to be able to grab those boots and other stuff. I noticed none of those designers mentioned the price of their items in the notecards, i was also aware that, being them exclusive items, obviously they would have not been sold at some "reasonable" prices and it was understandable.
Just i didn't expect THOSE prices!
While trying to enter the full sim with other impatient avies, i heard rumors about the real prices of those exclusive items and i found out they were not rumors at all, that was the truth. I was speechless. In a negative way. Paying 4 or 5 times the usual prices of those brands is not fair, and that only to be proud to own an exclusive item! I was attracted by some beautiful items i previewed in pictures, i was not attracted by the chance to own an exclusive item, i would have loved to buy those boots or hair but i would have never accepted to pay such a high price.
I'm not a sheep, we are not sheep, i don't do this in RL, so why should i do it here?
I'm really annoyed about that, i think it won't work in designer's favour. This is not the way to earn (or keep) respect from customers.
So, thumbs down for One Eleven.
