About TRUTH and Secrets Hair........ [UPDATED]

Ieri ho bloggato i capelli di Secrets Hair (che le stesse creatrici avevano inviato a me e ad altri bloggers), poi su Flickr trovo un commento di Truth Hawks, designer di TRUTH, a proposito di uno dei capelli. Dice che sono rubati e mostra il suo stile, Justine, praticamente identici.

Stamattina mi loggo e trovo la notecard mandata dalle creatrici di Secrets Hair: 

We would like to thank Heather Connolly for letting us know about the many similarities of our Gwen hair and the Justine hair by Truth.
At this point we've contacted Truth and are waiting on more information. The making of Gwen was part of a very popular template purchase we got from Xstreet and may or may not be a scam. We assure you that we are doing everything in our power to make sure they we are not infringing on another's rights. Please be patient while we figure this out.  :D  If anyone wants link to the templates, let me know :D  Apparently it sold hundreds and had no ill comments or mention of being copies, so who know what all shops are using those and who really made the originals at this point. We will let you know as soon as we get the information! We want to know too :D

Praticamente dicono di essere state avvisate dell'eccessiva somiglianza tra il loro stile Gwen e Justine di TRUTH. Asseriscono di aver comprato il template su XStreet dov'è molto noto, di aver contattato TRUTH e di stare indagando perchè non è assolutamente loro intenzione violare il regolamento sul copyright. Si stanno dando da fare per avere più info possibili.

Aggiungono, inoltre, di essere pazze ma non talmente da inviare capelli copybottati ai bloggers.

Scrivo questo per la chiarezza,ho tolto la foto da Flickr ma lascio il post qui sul blog perchè si sta ancora indagando e perchè nel post ho bloggato anche altro.

We spoke to Truth and they are going to fill a DMCA against the person selling the templates  (peak sales on XStreet for 3 months now: https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=2222385)  and while the hair isn't the same, has a lot of differences, it has also a lot of similarities and Secrets will pull the hair from sales because god bless it's similar enough and two shops don't need the same style already :D Thank God that was the only hair we've made based off of a template and one of the firsts of our shop. This seller (shall we say copybotter?) didn't raise suspicions on us because when asked for customer support, he was more than glad to offer it. It was totally not one of the "grab-your-money-and-poof" guys. He used to have a complete profile stating alt for building (which now is all empty) >.>  Starting today, 9am PDT, the Gwen will no longer be found for sale at Secrets and if you want a hair of similar style, we do suggest you to get Truth's Justine.

D'accordo con TRUTH, verrà aperta una notifica DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act), cioè di violazione del copyright, verso la persona che vende i templates e, nonostante alcune differenze tra i due modelli, Secrets Hair rimuoverà dalla vendita quello stile di capelli, l'unico basato su un template.
Questo copybotter inizialmente non ha destato alcun sospetto perchè, dietro richiesta di lavoro su commissione, è stato felice di farlo (non il genere "prendo i soldi e sparisco"), aveva anche un profilo completo di info sul suo lavoro di builder (profilo adesso vuoto).
Da oggi, quindi, lo stile Gwen non sarà più in vendita presso Secrets Hair.
